Code of Conduct

Consciousness Commons is committed to a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative environment for all participants.

Respectful Communication

Treat all peers, facilitators, and staff with courtesy and professionalism. Constructive debate is encouraged, but harassment, discriminatory language, or personal attacks will not be tolerated.

Active Collaboration

Engage fully with your team and the workshop materials. Share the workload fairly, listen to diverse perspectives, and support your fellow participants in reaching collective goals.

Inclusivity

Help create a welcoming space where everyone feels comfortable contributing. Give others the opportunity to speak and be mindful of dominating group discussions.

Punctuality and Reliability

Honor the time of your team and the facilitators by arriving promptly to sessions, meeting deadlines, and communicating proactively if you encounter any roadblocks.

Travel and Accommodation

Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel and accommodation.

Funding Eligibility

The distribution of all prizes is strictly subject to applicable Canadian and international laws, including trade compliance and international sanctions. Any institution or individual selected to receive a prize or any other financial support will be required to verify their identity, confirm eligibility, or complete necessary compliance documentation before disbursal. Recipients are solely responsible for any tax implications, reporting requirements, or levies associated with receiving a prize, as dictated by their local jurisdiction. These requirements only apply to fund recipients. They do not apply to non-recipient members of a winning team.
